Theatre Season to Begin March 1

Lindenwood University-Belleville’s Theatre Department will present two productions this spring.

The first production, Danny and The Deep Blue Sea, is a powerful play written by John Patrick Shanley about two tough, unlikely rejects of society spending the night together and finding a little more about themselves than expected. Danny and The Deep Blue Sea premiers on March 1 at 7:30 p.m. with a second performance on March 2 at 7:30 p.m.

The second production, People in Places, is a collection of one-act plays directed by Lindenwood theatre students in Professor of Theatre Marsha Parker’s directing class. It will be performed at 7:30 p.m. April 12 and April 13.

Both productions will be at the Lindenwood Auditorium, 2600 W. Main St., Belleville, Ill., and are free and open to the public. Please note both performances contain strong adult material and language that may not be suitable for younger audience members.

For more information or tickets, call Parker at (618) 239-6175.
