Lindenwood University-Belleville will hold the first winter commencement ceremony in school history Sunday, Dec. 11.
Commencement for graduate and undergraduate students will take place at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, Ill. Education Specialist, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees will be conferred. Students will line up and march with their division.
Rev. Robert Dyer, senior pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church, will give the invocation. Lindenwood Belleville President Brett Barger, Lindenwood Board Chairman Jim J. Shoemake, and Lindenwood Belleville Campus Provost Renee Porter are expected to speak. Missy Robinson will sing the national anthem.
Guest seating will be available on a first-come, first served basis. No tickets are needed for the event. The doors of the Gateway Center will open at 12:30 with the ceremony beginning at 2 p.m.
The Gateway Center is located at One Gateway Drive. Take exit 11 from Interstate 55-70 or exit 26 from Interstate 255. Turn left at the stoplight onto Illinois 157/Bluff Road and then turn left on Eastport Plaza Drive. Gateway Drive will be on the right.
In previous December commencements, Lindenwood Belleville students graduated along with students from the St. Charles campus. St. Charles graduation will take place separately on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the St. Charles County Family Arena.
