The Lindenwood University Department of Theatre will continue its 2010-11 season with the perennial holiday favorite “A Christmas Carol”; performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 18-20 and Dec. 2-4.
Ticket prices are $10 for balcony seating, $12 for parterre, $15 for orchestra and $18 for platinum seating. The performances will be held in the Bezemes Family Theater, located in Lindenwood’s J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts on the main St. Charles campus. The Scheidegger Center is at 2300 W. Clay St., one block west of First Capitol Drive. For more than 30 years, audiences from throughout the region have come to Lindenwood to enjoy Charles Dickens’ classic story of a miserly old man and his Christmas Eve journey of self-discovery in the company of three ghosts.
This year’s production is directed by Emily Jones, of the Lindenwood theatre faculty with a cast of more than 30 people headed by Jimmy Krawczyk as Ebenezer Scrooge, Joshua Nash Payne as Bob Cratchit, Cassie Ballard as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Ryan Wood as the Ghost of Christmas Present, and Trevor Potthoff as Tiny Tim Cratchit.
Stage manager is Jennette Kleewien. Scenic design is by Donnell Walsh. Lighting design is by Keith Barinowski with sound design and engineering by Drew Matney. Costume design is by Donna Northcott. Technical direction is by Tim Poertner with choreography by Janet Strzelec and music advising by Pamela Grooms.
