Lindenwood University-Belleville will host a continuing education opportunity for professional counselors on Friday, July 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The workshop, “Engaging the Resilient Self: Utilizing Attachment and Attunement Techniques to Improve Trauma Treatment,” will be presented by Chaz Franke, MSW, LCSW. The goal of the training is to identify specific strategies informed by attachment and attunement theories that can be applied in the therapy office when working with trauma survivors.
Attendees will earn six professional counseling continuing education units (CEUs). Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. the date of the event, which will be held in the U.S. Senator Alan J. Dixon Student Center on the Belleville campus, 2600 W. Main Street. The cost of the seminar is $100 for the general public, $50 for Lindenwood students and alumni, and $70 for ICA members. Lunch is provided. Advanced registration is required.
