Lindenwood University–Belleville will host two guest speakers during August. The presentations are part of the school’s 2010 Speaker Series and are free and open to the public. They also fulfill colloquium requirements for current LCIE students.
Laura Grandy, chief judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the southern district of Illinois, will deliver a presentation from 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 10. She will discuss her successful argument of a case before the United States Supreme Court regarding bankruptcy debts stemming from intentional torts.
Don Courtial, licensed massage therapist and retired director of rehabilitation at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill., will speak from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12. His presentation is titled, “Sparking Your Energy with Vitamin D and Proper Breathing Techniques.”
