The communications faculty at Lindenwood University-Belleville will host an open house on Oct. 22 from 5-7 p.m. for anyone interested in touring the recently completed television and radio broadcasting studios.
These new features are a significant addition to the communications program at Lindenwood Belleville, whose degree offerings include a bachelor’s in advertising, public relations: corporate communications; a bachelor’s in mass communications with an emphasis in sports management; and a master’s in communications with emphases in digital media, promotions, media management, and training and development.
“[The communications program at Lindenwood Belleville] gives students lots of opportunities to work on announcing our basketball and football games, or to put together promotional videos for a theater production, or to write for the school paper,” said Brendan Leahy, communications department chair.
The new television and radio studios will be used to air Lindenwood sporting and other events, and the university is also partnering with the City of Belleville to broadcast City Council meetings.
