Lindenwood University welcomed a record-breaking number of students on the first day of 2010 fall semester classes Monday, Aug. 23. The number of daytime undergraduate students, including commuters, exceeds 5,000 by a substantial margin.
“We are extremely pleased that each year more and more qualified students are selecting Lindenwood as their university,” said President James D. Evans, Ph.D. “These student counts are certainly new records and historic benchmarks for this great frontier university.”
Lindenwood anticipates continued growth along with increased student enrollment in future years. The university seeks to expand its undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as its online courses and doctoral program offerings.
A palpable sense of excitement can be felt on campus as Lindenwood faculty and staff welcome this year’s students and look forward to further growth and success.
“The combination of synergy and energy on this campus today is unbelievable,” Evans said.
