The highest Lady Lion was Tori Degginger, who finished second in the 109-pound division.  After five rounds of pool play, she emerged as one of the top seeds in double-elimination bracket competition, but had to face teammate Hannah Padilla in the first round.  Degginger earned a technical fall victory to advance.  She faced Vanessa Ramirez from McKendree in the second round and once again won by technical fall.  Degginger wrestled Charlott Fowler in the finals, but was defeated.

Meanwhile, Padilla matched against Maria Vidales in round two and was pinned.  In the seventh place match, Padilla lost by decision to Valeria Rivera to take eighth place in the division.

In other action, Cecilia Saavedra finished sixth in the 101-pound class.  After getting a bye in the first round of match play, she was defeated by pin by Hiba Salem.  Now on the other side of the bracket, Saavedra earned two more byes before falling to Alouette Gonzalez in a close 7-6 decision.  Saavedra faced Jessica Bautista in the fifth place match and lost in an 8-1 decision.
