Lions Conclude Successful Season

Lindenwood University concluded its best season in history Friday, dropping a 65-49 decision to No. 2-ranked Huntington (Indiana) at the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championships in Branson, Mo.

The Lions, who finish the season with a 23-14 record under Coach Dale Ribble, had 13 points from senior forward Chad Moore. John Copple and Andrew Dagner had 10 points apiece. Lindenwood's victory total is the highest in school history, passing the 1979 Lions, who recorded 22 wins.

Unseeded Lindenwood upset No. 15-ranked Robert Morris (NY) 89-74 in the tournament's first round.

Against Robert Morris, Dale Ribble's Lions place four in double figures. Senior Chad Moore lead the way with 23 points, and freshman Dustin Roberts had 17 points--12 from the free throw line.
