Million Dollar Scholarship Program Available to Scott AFB Families

Lindenwood University is pleased to announce its popular Million Dollar Scholarship program is available to Scott Air Force Base personnel and their dependents. The program is available for students enrolling in Lindenwood’s new daytime, semester-based program in Belleville, which starts in fall 2009, or at the main Lindenwood campus in St. Charles, Mo.

The program is so named because it indicates a $1 million commitment by the university to scholarships for students who distinguish themselves in social service organizations like the Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and many others.

Scholarship recipients receive an award of $5,000 toward tuition, renewable annually provided the student maintains specific academic requirements.

“Much like the Scott Air Force Base Command, Lindenwood promotes the importance of a value-oriented culture, character development, and a similar set of core values,” said James D. Evans, Ph.D., president of Lindenwood University.
