Roller Hockey Opens Season with Two Victories

The Lions faced Missouri State University on Saturday afternoon and came away with a 6-2 win. Trenton Matteson led the way with three goals. Jalen Krogman helped the cause with three assists while Cody Page earned two assists. Freshman Paul Town from Canada earned his first collegiate win for Lindenwood by stopping eight of the 10 shots he faced in the contest.

The Lions returned to the rink Sunday afternoon for an 18-4 win over St. Charles Community College. Matteson was named the first star of the game with two goals and four assists.  Max Romanowitz added three goals and two assists, and Daniel Rosse found the back of the net four times. Anthony Erace also helped the offense with three scores while Austin Halterman had three helpers in the game. Town picked up his second victory with 11 saves on 15 chances. 

Lindenwood returns to action in the GPCIHL November 4-5.  The Lions are scheduled to play Bethel at 11 p.m. that Friday night at Midwest Sport Hockey in Ballwin, Missouri, then face the University of Missouri Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at Matteson Square Garden in St. Peters.
