Whether you are preparing for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), working as a financial professional, or trying to get into the industry - a finance certification can help you achieve a deeper understanding of financial topics, increase your earning power, and improve analytical skills. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in the financial industry are expected to grow by 7% (591,800 new jobs) which is faster than the average for all occupations. Here at Lindenwood University, we offer various courses such as portfolio management, fixed income, and derivatives.
The finance graduate certificate requires taking a course in financial policy, plus cases in managerial finance, investments, and financial markets and institutions. You must also take six additional elective credit hours to earn the graduate certificate.
“As an International Student, I can assure you that the master's degree program that I enrolled in at Lindenwood, has equipped me with the most required skills to perform better in the finance industry. The way the program is structured, along with the great professors I had throughout the program, paved the way for my subsequent success. And hereby I can mention that I passed the rigorous CFA level 1 exam from my first attempt, and that the education I earned at Lindenwood was the pillar of such achievement.” - Amer Mahdi ('15)
