Dan Cathy, president and CEO of Chick-fil-A, will continue the Lindenwood University Speaker Series with a speech at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 18, in the Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room of the university’s Spellmann Center.
Cathy’s speech, which is free and open to the public, is titled “Applying Your Faith in the Marketplace” and will revolve around how Chick-fil-A has successfully applied biblical principles in the marketplace. The speech will include a slide presentation, and light refreshments will be available.
CEO of Chick-fil-A since 2001, Cathy has worked for the company since 1970. Chick-fil-A was founded by Cathy’s father, S. Truett Cathy and currently has 1,500 restaurants and 60,000 employees.
The Lindenwood University Speaker Series, which is in its third year, has included in 2010-11 noted humanitarian Eric Greitens and MIT roboticist James McLurkin and will continue into next month with presentations by poet, scholar and Celtic Christianity expert John Phillip Newell on March 22 and humanitarian and global health expert David Walton on April 12.
