Lindenwood University has announced that Tom Hughes, L.B. Eckelkamp, Jr. and Dana Lorberg have joined the university’s board of directors.
Lorberg, 39, is senior vice president, global operations and administration for MasterCard International. She reports directly to Jerry McElhatton, president of MasterCard’s Global Technology and Operations. Her expertise includes management of both financial and technological initiatives. She has played an instrumental role in nearly every key strategic technology initiative at the company in the past decade.
Lorberg has spent 14 years with MasterCard International. She earned her B.S. in data processing and quantitative analysis from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Hughes, 50, is a former St. Charles police officer who is president of T.R. Hughes, Inc., a home-building company in St. Charles County. Hughes’ multi-million company has won 18 Homer Awards for excellence in the homebuilding industry.
Hughes has donated land for the construction of the Living Word Christian High School, assisted with the funding for the construction of the T.R. Hughes minor league ballpark (home of the Rascals), built homes for the YMCA charity auction and the Duchesne Dream Home program, and contributed to civic and charitable organizations.
Eckelkamp, 57, is Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Bank of Washington, Mo. He is widely respected and well-known throughout the Washington community. Eckelkamp is chairman and president of Cardinal Bancorp; president of Eckelkamp Enterprises; and past president of the 20th judicial Circuit Bar Association.
Eckelkamp has numerous other volunteer activities, among them: Executive board member and past chairman of the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America; St. Louis RCGA; St. Louis Archdiocesan Trust; Washington Elks and Knights of Columbus. He and his wife, Bonnie, live in Washington.
