Lindenwood University is offering 32 courses as part of its Jump Start program, which allows transfer students and those registering late to get a semester of coursework without having to wait until spring.
Modeled after Lindenwood's successful "J-term," or January term, Jump Start classes begin October 3. The classes meet fewer weeks than the traditional semester coursework, but meet for a longer period of time each week, said Provost Jim Evans.
Courses are offered in many areas of study, including art, communications, humanities, management, sciences and physical education.
Evans said he considers this a perfect opportunity for students who still want to attend college but did not want to wait until the beginning of the spring semester.
