The Lindenwood University Men’s Ice Hockey Team will play a charity game against the St. Louis Blues Alumni Team at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan.9, at the Lindenwood University Ice Arena in Wentzville, Mo. The game will be part of the Disabled Athlete Sports Association’s (DASA) annual St. Louis Sled Hockey Tournament and proceeds will benefit the DASA Jr. Blues Sled Hockey Program.
Sled hockey is tailored for individuals with mobility limitations, such as amputees or those with injuries that limit their participation in standard hockey. The DASA Jr. Blues Sled Hockey Program has developed several players that have moved on to make the USA National 20U team and the USA National Paralympic Team.
Tickets to the game cost $5 per person and can be purchased at the Lindenwood University Ice Arena the day of the event. A limited number of VIP tickets are available in advance for $25 per person, and include a private meeting with current St. Louis Blues players and lunch.
Two VIP Coaches tickets, which give individuals the opportunity to join the St. Louis Blues Alumni Team behind the bench, are available for $150. One special Blues fan can lace up a pair of skates and hit the ice with his or her favorite Blues players for a $1,500 contribution to the DASA Jr. Blues Sled Hockey Program.
