The Student Counseling and Resource Center’s mission is to assist students achieve the kinds of academic success, personal growth, and balance that lead to rich, full, whole lives encompassing mental and physical health through counseling, integrative health practices, workshops, and consultation that reflects social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
The Student Counseling and Resource Center supports the academic mission, values, institution’s learning outcomes, and is concerned with supporting students of Lindenwood University through matriculation and successful graduation. The Student Counseling and Resource Center partners with students, faculty, and staff to create and maintain a campus environment that supports physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Counselors assist students in addressing psychological and adjustment issues (i.e., depression, anxiety, and relationships) and problems or issues including stress/time management that can negatively impact academic performance, student retention, graduation rates, and quality of life. The Center works collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to create and maintain a campus environment that encourages and supports psychological well-being.
