Psychology students engage in a variety of service learning projects through events hosted by student organizations as well as for class projects.
(Photo Above) Social Psychology students complete an assignment examining different compliance strategies (e.g., foot-in-door, door-in-the-face). This assignment not only compares the effectiveness of compliance strategies but also raises money for a charity the class chooses. Past charities include United Way, St. Jude’s Hospital, Doctors without Borders, Convoy of Hope, and most recently, for the Stoneman Douglas Victim Fund for the Florida school shooting on February 14, 2018.
Students serve the community through their involvement in student organizations.
