Staff and academic administrators meet on a monthly basis for the purpose of sharpening the skills needed for leadership and supervision in addition to developing stronger relationships at the university level. Staff and academic administrators have committed to developing a leadership philosophy that aligns with their core values. Development topics that have been or will be discussed include communicating change process, leading from the middle, self-management, non-verbal communication, having crucial and difficult conversations, phone and email etiquette, holding an executive presence, community outreach techniques, creative and inexpensive ways to recognize team members.
