We provide individualized career planning sessions in person, via Skype, phone, or email to current students to in the following areas: choosing a major, developing or polishing up a resume, interview preparation and mock interviews, and learning how to leverage social media in your job search. In addition, we can assist you in obtaining experience relevant to your career goals by providing internship and part-time job leads, hosting on campus interviews, career fairs and information sessions.
We're here to assist our students and alumni in finding success in the world of work.
The mission of the Career Center is to provide resources and support to students and alumni as they prepare to make career plans and transitions for a lifetime. We continually strive to cultivate strong relationships with employers, faculty, and community members by establishing a link between education and the world of work. The office provides a full array of services through Career Services. It is important to remember, however, that we cannot "place" you in a position. We do not make hiring decisions, nor do we create jobs.
"My career aspirations were crystallized when I took professor Wehrli's Career Development course in my senior year. It's one of those courses that should be a requirement regardless of your field of study. My advice for any college student would be to take advantage of your Career Center on campus, that way your transition from graduation to career will be a seamless one!"
At Lindenwood University, Career Services is committed to your successful transition into the world of work, and that is why beginning the fall 2017 semester we will be offering you the opportunity to earn a Soft Skills Endorsement in one or multiple areas.
The Career Center adheres to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) principles in regards to student hiring, recruitment, and providing references.
