The Exercise and Performance Nutrition Laboratory (EPNL) at Lindenwood University offers Mobile Athlete Testing, bringing science-driven performance and health testing directly to your team or school.
This service is ideal for high school coaches, sport performance staff, athletic directors, or club program leaders who want to evaluate their athletes using research-grade tools without needing to leave their facility. Our expert team handles all logistics, including equipment, setup, testing, and interpretation of results.
Each testing session includes individual results reports, on-site education, and optional webinars for coaches, parents, and athletes to better understand how to apply the data.

Body Composition and Anthropometrics
Height and Weight Measurement
- Collected using standardized stadiometer and scale
- Useful for growth tracking and strength-to-weight analysis
Body Composition Analysis
- Conducted using InBody Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) or ImpediMed Bioelectrical Impedance Spectroscopy (BIS), depending on availability
- Metrics include:
- Segmental lean mass
- Total body water
- Muscle-to-fat ratio
Performance Testing
Strength Assessment
- Isometric Mid-Thigh Pull (IMTP) or Isometric Belt Squat
- Quick assessment of maximal force production (peak and average force)
- Uses portable force plates for reliable, repeatable data
Power Assessment
- Countermovement Jump (CMJ) via force plates
- Metrics include:
- Jump height
- Peak power
- Reactive strength index (RSI)
- Concentric and eccentric impulse
Speed Assessment
- Linear sprint testing over 10, 20, 30, or 40 yards
- Measured using professional-grade laser timing gates
- Provides split times, maximum speed, and acceleration profiles
Agility Assessment
- Traditional change-of-direction drills, including:
- T-Test
- Pro-Agility (5-10-5)
- Evaluates footwork, reactivity, and deceleration control
Included Benefits
All Mobile Athlete Testing visits include:
- Printed and/or digital reports for each athlete

Sample Testing Packages
We offer flexible testing packages to meet the needs of teams, schools, and sport-specific groups. Below are examples of common setups, including our standard athlete testing battery.
Standard Athlete Testing Battery
Our most popular and comprehensive option for team-wide assessment. Includes:
- Demographic and background questionnaire
- Height and weight
- Body composition via BIA
- Isometric Mid-Thigh Pull (IMTP) for strength
- Countermovement Jump (CMJ) for power
- Linear sprint testing (e.g., 10- or 20-yard) for speed
- Agility test (T-Test or Pro-Agility)
- Nutritional assessments and reporting
Each athlete receives a complete performance report with practical feedback. Testing can typically be completed in approximately one hour per athlete, with the ability to assess up to 10 athletes per hour depending on setup and staff availability.
Suggested Testing Times and Longitudinal Tracking
We encourage annual testing protocols to track development throughout an athlete’s high school career. Recommended testing periods include:
- Pre-Season Testing – Establish a performance baseline
- Summer Testing – Evaluate offseason training outcomes and prepare for in-season demands
- Annual Tracking – Demonstrate long-term progress and guide training decisions for athletes, parents, and coaching staff
