Roaring Return

For important updates on Lindenwood University campus safety precautions and associated information from public health officials, please visit our Roaring Return page and the CDC's COVID-19 site. The Honors Learning Community is designed to foster the growth of Lindenwood University’s most high-achieving student leaders. This interdisciplinary group of scholars will bring together students with a myriad of accomplishments, skills, and experiences to strive for excellence together.

Members of the Honors Learning Community will take courses specifically designed for their learning community and have unique experiential learning opportunities. They will also participate in an academic mentor program where they will be learning from their peers and guiding those in the learning communities after them. Students in the Honors Learning Community are expected to take an active role in their intellectual development and help create a stimulating academic culture.

A student in the Honors Learning Community will take an introductory honors course their first semester. The group will take one honors course together each academic year to be determined by the Honors Coordinator and members of the learning community. These courses will fulfill degree requirements without interfering with other required degree courses.

Acceptance into this program is limited and determined by a competitive application process.
