Earning a Minor in English at Lindenwood University

An English minor can be a great combination with any degree program across the University, as it enables you to develop your critical reading and thinking skills, which are essential in any career. And of course, you get to build all of these skills while reading and discussing some of the best works of literature in the world!

minor in English at Lindenwood University requires 18 credit hours. If you minor in English, you will study a wide variety of texts both traditional and contemporary. Courses in British, American, and World literary traditions are offered, in periods ranging from the medieval to the modern. We also offer courses on the literatures of particular ethnic, cultural, and racial identity groups, such as Latino and African-American literatures. Our faculty frequently offer special topics courses that allow you to deeply explore subjects of particular interest.
