Course Description

The Practical Writer: YA and Kid Lit is a course that will be helpful to all interested in writing and publishing popular fiction but will include specific discussion on the ways in which Writing for Children and Young Adults (or that target readership 18 and under) can differ from adult fiction. We will cover getting an agent, managing social media as a writer, school and library visits, selling on pitch and writing for other properties. This course will be most useful for students who have a clear project manuscript in process, but it will be informative for all.
