April 23, 2020
Join us in Dunseth Auditorium on the St. Charles campus on April 23, 2020 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. to hear from fiction writer John Mauk.
Mauk is the author of Field Notes for the Earthbound, a collection of linked, magical realist fiction. Set in a small Midwest town in the 60's, the book tracks the hapless and hopeful paths of the town's young, as their lives are changed by new love and old curses, race cars and rock n roll, a girl who can fly and a witch so real she haunts you long after you've put the book down.
Light refreshments will be served, and event co-sponsor Left Bank Books will have books available for purchase and for Mauk to sign.
Feel free to contact Gillian Parrish, assistant professor, MFA in Writing program, with any questions. With the author's kind permission, Parrish is glad to send you a chapter of Mauk's book to better inform your questions about his writing process! firstname.lastname@example.org
The event will take place in Dunseth Auditorium in Harmon Hall on the St. Charles campus. Lindenwood University is located at 209 S. Kingshighway, north of Interstate 70 on First Capitol Drive.
