Biographical Information

Dr. Ryan Curtis is an associate professor and director of bands at Lindenwood University, where he supervises the concert, marching, and pep bands. He is currently in his 16th year of teaching and 11th year serving Lindenwood University. He received a Bachelor of Science in education from Missouri State University, a Master of Music Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a Doctor of Education (EdD) in instructional leadership from Lindenwood University.

Prior to Lindenwood University, he taught middle and high school music in the Missouri public schools. Curtis is an active clinician and adjudicator, previously serving the Mid-Continent Color Guard Association, Heritage Music festivals, as well as various concert and marching band activities.

Curtis is a former member of the Blue Devils drum and bugle corps and continually writes and arranges for the marching activity. He is a member of Phi Beta Mu Bandmasters Fraternity, the National Association for Music Education, and the Missouri Music Educators Association.
