Course Description
In this course, we will explore the world of writing known for middle-grade and young-adult readers (those 8+ and 12+) and write our own creative piece(s) for these audiences. This course is designed to capitalize on what you already know about children’s literature, as well as gain a greater understanding of how to write for young people through reading, discussion, and peer-critique of your own and other students’ work.
This course is required for students completing the YA-MG emphasis.
