Course Description
This course will focus on the wellspring of memory and reflection and the employment of narrative in creative nonfiction. Students will discuss a variety of personal essays, noting the use of voice, character development, sense of place and time, and narrative arc, and will write their own creative nonfiction pieces for workshop. This course may be taken alongside IMF 52315 - Further Studies in the Personal Essay and Memoir.
