Course Description

This is a combination craft/literature/workshop course. Through the exercises and discussions in this class we will explore the following questions: What does it mean to be a writer? Why do you write? What is your writing mission? How do you work? Where do you work? What is your writing process? What is your understanding of the community of writers? How will you plug into the writing community after you graduate from the program? Throughout the course we will discuss craft elements, find and share prompts and tips, and explore  the thoughts and advice of some contemporary writers. We will also workshop a piece of writing that defines your current work.
