To join the Honors College, and to maintain your standing in it, the only requirement is a Lindenwood GPA of 3.3 or above. (A freshman must have a 29 or above on their ACTs; appeals are welcome if the reading OR math score is above 30).
To become an active member of the Honors College, the only requirement is to be currently in an Honors-only section, or to have successfully completed at least one course for honors credit.
To graduate with University Honors, you must complete at least eight courses for honors credit. This can be done in two ways:
- Take four 100-level honors only courses, and then four 300-level courses for honors credit, whether honors only or by arrangement.
- Take two or fewer 100-level courses for honors credit (whether honors-only or by arrangement), and take your other six courses at the 200 or 300-level.
If you are a new student who is in an honors section, register for classes early by turning in your honors application one month prior to the early registration date (which is one week before the date for seniors). If you are already an active member of the Honors College who has turned in your form, then you’re all set for early registration and you don’t need to do anything.
To get credit for an arranged honors course, the professor will indicate the grade in the system as either an A or B with Honors (e.g. AH or BH).
