Tutoring and Counseling Resources

Lindenwood University offers a wide array of Tutoring and Counseling Resources aimed at helping your student succeed in the classroom.

Online Tutoring Services

Smarthinking is an online tutoring service offered to Lindenwood University students free of charge. Students may chat live with tutors in a variety of disciplines, some of which are available 24/7.  The Smarthinking program can be accessed through CANVAS or the student portal. 

Campus Tutoring Services 

Tutoring is available to Lindenwood University students seeking to enhance academic performance. This free service assist students in becoming independent learners by reviewing academic techniques such as exam preparation, note taking, analysis of classroom and text materials, and helps students apply these techniques toward coursework. Campus Writing Center 

Students may visit the Writing Center to enhance writing skills or ask for assistance with written class assignments. Appointments may be scheduled electronically to meet with a Writing Consultant at More information can be found here

Mentoring Services 

The Office of Student and Academic Support Services (SASS) provides mentoring, success coaching, encourages engagement opportunities, and offers problem resolution. To make an appointment, students may e-mail or call (636) 627-2543. Students may also chat with a SASS mentor and learn more information here.

Counseling Services
